(New York, NY) — As American as apple pie is Macy’s Fireworks Spectacular celebrating the Fourth of July on the Hudson River – truly a New York City tradition in the making. Hands down, the Empire State’s finest display of pyrotechnics, the show starts lighting up the city’s sky at 9:20 PM with about 70,000 pounds of explosions.

Considered one of Manhattan’s hidden gems, the Press Lounge rooftop bar atop the Ink 48 Hotel is a chic chill spot to view the fireworks right along the Hudson. Featuring beach club style seating, a low pool illuminated by nightlights, and a glass-walled modern architecturally designed interior, Press is known for its signature cocktails and organic cuisine served from the hotel’s restaurant, Print. For a free Fourth of July celebration, you can go anywhere along 22nd to 55th Streets on the West Side Highway.
