(New York, NY) — It is a known fact that Manhattan does not have an MLS (Multiple Listing Service), which sometimes makes it challenging to search for properties, neighborhoods, and other relevant realty data.

Well, thanks to New York City’s largest real estate firm, Corcoran, we now have an app available for brokers, homeowners and tenants to navigate all necessary home and even lifestyle information at the tip of their fingers. Welcome, Corcoran’s iPad App.

Delivering a fully integrated mobile experience, Corcoran’s app allows users to browse comprehensive real estate listings in New York City, The Hamptons and South Florida. Upon launching late this summer, Apple released the following description on iTunes.

“Introducing the new Corcoran app for iPad! Simply put, when you browse for real estate in New York, The Hamptons or South Florida, we want you to dream big. So we built an app for you that allows you to do just that, every day.”

Already downloading and engaging with the app, users are pleased by its appealing aesthetics, seamless navigation and daily updates, i.e. The Corcoran 10am Special. With the tagline “One spectacular Corcoran home. Currently available. Delivered daily.” Corcoran is exclusively displaying featured properties in high-res images on a full screen via the application. For those that miss the daily 10am Special, they can access previous listing posts by simply hitting the “archives” button.

Another key feature of the Corcoran iPad app is the property search section, which has been touted for it’s fluid and intuitive browsing capabilities by current users. Some have even compared the quality of its interface to the Zillow iPad app – which is a great sign.

Some of our staff writers here at BrokerPulse gave the app a whirl and found that Corcoran was right on the money when it came to the following points.

  1. Navigation – streamlines the property search process
  2. Connection – simplifies client/agent communication
  3. Visual – displays quality images that are easy to browse
  4. Lifestyle – offers valuable data on neighborhoods, restaurants, shops, etc.
  5. Social – seamlessly connects to relevant social networks and sites

Although Corcoran mainly services New Yorkers and Floridians, the market reach of its iPad app has both a national and global draw – being utilized by people from across the country and around the world.

Have you downloaded Corcoran’s iPad app yet? What do you think?
