Michael Hirtenstein—the Telecom powerhouse and uber real estate investor—has once again put up his lavish Montauk mansion on the rental block. Another mogul renting his property? Yep. This wouldn’t be news if it were not for the fact that the mansion is being rented for a whopping $100,000. And that’s just for one month, this August.
You’d think those looking to spend time in the Hamptons this summer would balk at Hirtenstein’s price. Apparently, this isn’t the case as the estate is actually being rented out now for the same astronomical price.
Locate at 230 and 234 Old Montauk Highway, the estate is in good company. Ralph Lauren and Robert De Niro live by. According to the New York Post who broke the story, Steve Roth, the CEO of Vornado Realty Trust who works for President Trump as a council, also has a home here bought from the feds after it was seized from Bernie Madoff.
Hirtenstein’s estate is on more than 4 acres on a 70-foot bluff. The home, which is 5,000 square feet, has enviable floor-to-ceilings windows throughout, perfect for looking at the incredible sea side views and allowing for a lot of natural light. The first floor has a master suite, a kitchen sure to impress chefs, an open concept dining room and a large living room with a fireplace. In addition, there’s a loft with a rooftop deck, a wine cellar, a gym and a movie theater. The estate continues to impress as it also has a 2,500-square-foot two bedroom guest house, an infinity pool, a hot tub, and a private path that leads directly to the beach.
