(New York, NY) –– A week after Town Residential’s agents flooded the market, Steve Gold, co-star of “Million Dollar Listing New York” and a former agent at Town, was recruited by the Corcoran Group.
Gold was a free agent with around $87 million worth of listings. However, his time on the market was, well, short. Gold was a wanted man and had companies like Compass and Douglas Elliman eager to hire him.
Gold’s seven-person team, the Gold Group, will be setting up shop at Corcoran’s Madison Avenue office.

“Having Steve and his team join Corcoran is a wonderful turn of events,” says Corcoran’s CEO, Pam Liebman. In fact, Corcoran is so eager to have Gold they are willing to suspend their policy that prevents agents from appearing on reality television.
After the shocking end to Town’s eight-year legacy this past April, over 300 agents hit the market looking to continue their work in NYC real estate.
Gold isn’t the only agent being snatched by rival firms. Ryan Fitzpatrick, manager of Flat Iron, is heading Corcoran and Dan Marello, director of leasing, will be continuing his career at Compass.
As for the Corcoran Group, they are lucky to have Gold. During his time at Town he sold over $500 million worth of real estate and is said to have over $20 million worth of in-contract deals.
While Town’s closing sent many into a frenzy, it’s refreshing to see NYC’s real estate talent continue to thrive. Here’s to many more years of taking the NYC real estate market by storm, Steve!
