(CHICAGO) — It may be September, but the Windy City is heating up.
Chicago brokers suited up, or should we say suited down, for the 2019 Men of Chicago Real Estate swimsuit calendar, the first of its kind.
The mastermind, 28-year-old Keller Williams Lincoln Park broker, Tony Mattar, proposed the idea in an attempt to raise money for charity.
“It started off almost like a joke idea and then when I started figuring out the economics of it, I realized that it could have a really big impact on the community,” said Mattar.
There will be around 10,000 calendars printed and individually sold for $29.99. According to Mattar, the proceeds will go toward Chicago House & Social Service Agency, a nonprofit that provides housing to HIV/AIDS victims and members of the LGBTQ community. If all the calendars are sold, he could raise around $250,000.
After taking on the duty as “Mr.May,” Mattar recruited 11 other attractive and well-respected brokers.
Compass broker, Zach Koran, also known as “Mr. February” said he hopped on board with no hesitation, fully supportive of Tony’s vision.
Submissions from brokers for the 2020 edition started to pour in as news of the calendar spread.
Mattar plans to donate the proceeds to a different real estate-related charity every year.
The 2019 calendar went on sale in late August and will ship on December 1st.
