(NEW YORK, NY) — “When I Began Fifteen Hudson Yards, I wanted to create a jewel box in the sky that was symbolic of the vibrant new neighborhood it towers above,” said Ken Downing in a press release.
Ken Downing, renowned fashion director for Neiman Marcus, has designed and styled a model residence at Hudson Yards’ first luxury tower with for-sale residences, Fifteen Hudson Yards. Downing’s vision, inspired by Neiman Marcus’ jet-set style for New York City, puts a creative spin on the culture of opulence.

Fifteen Hudson Yards offers a unique living experience to its posh New Yorkers. At the forefront of a new style of luxury living, this development has unmatched amenities such as a 75-foot-long swimming pool, state-of-the-art collaborative workspace, club room, an entire floor dedicated to wellness, 12,000 square feet of spa, salon, and fitness facilities, private dining suites, and 360-degree views of the Hudson River, Statue of Liberty and city skyline.
Downing complimented the lavish physique of the condominium by employing the same techniques he uses to curate Neiman Marcus’ signature styles and trends. The model home, 25G, is equipped with two bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and is priced at $4,285,000. The design of the home was influenced by Downing’s travels around the world and paired with his passion for art collecting. The vibrant colored walls are matched with sculptural elements and furniture that offer an exuberant touch of Hudson Yards’ creative spirit. Each room tells its own story with warm colors and a commodious atmosphere. The kitchen is equipped with a free-standing island, custom oak wood cabinetry, and Miele appliances. Designed to admire the sun-drenched views of the Hudson River and Hudson Yards Public Square and Gardens, the master bedroom has a lavender Venetian chandelier accompanied by a corner column painted in sunset inspired colors by artist Nathan Green. The second bedroom, presented as a library, is decorated with a teal color and paired with gold, brass, and wood accents.
In honor of the collaboration, Neiman Marcus has launched a microsite allowing people to purchase select items in the residence and will celebrate with a six-page spread in the February Horchow catalog. Additional perks will also be available at Neiman Marcus’ Hudson Yards flagship which is set to open next year. These perks include invitations to exclusive events and launches, in-home tailoring, customized fashion services, and much more.
Hudson Yards, by Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group, is the largest development in New York City since the Rockefeller Center and the largest private real estate development in the history of the United States. The first phase, which is set to open in Spring 2019 will include the Public Square and Gardens, the Vessel, The Shops & Restaurants, which will be anchored by Neiman Marcus, and its most notable project, the 88-story tower, Fifteen Hudson Yards.
Upon completion, the new neighborhood will offer Manhattan the perfect mix of art and pop culture. It will include countless shops and restaurants, around 4,000 residences,14-acres of public open space, and a new public school.
In the words of Ken Downing, “Fifteen Hudson Yards is more than a home, it’s a statement!”
