(NEW YORK, NY) — WeWork continues to increase its presence in Manhattan.
According to reports, the company has signed two new leases totaling over 106,000 square feet.
The first lease, for the entire 11-story building at Winter Properties’ 57 East 11th Street, spans 61,375 square feet. Located in Greenwich Village, WeWork will keep the lease for 15 years and hopes to move in as soon as possible.
The second lease, for the third through seventh floors at 148 Lafayette Street, spans 44,945 square feet. Though more details have yet to be released, WeWork will begin to occupy the space sometime in 2019.
The company’s rapid expansion continues to dominate New York City’s office market. Just a few months ago, WeWork claimed the title of Manhattan’s largest office tenant, an incredible yet expected milestone for the co-working company.
According to the WeWork website, the company has more than 6.7 million square feet of office, residential, retail, and logistics distribution properties. And, with the way this 8-year-old startup is growing, that number is sure to continue to rise.
