(NEW YORK, NY) — Shonda Rhimes, an American television producer known for creating TV hits such as Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, and How to Get Away With Murder, has purchased a penthouse on the Upper East Side for $11.75 million, according to The Real Deal.
The penthouse was listed back in March for $14.75 and was dropped to $12.5 million in June. The drop in price shows the devaluation of penthouses in Manhattan and the city’s current luxury glut.
The penthouse, which consists of five bedrooms, a stunning terrace, and state-of-the-art kitchen, underwent a two-year renovation according to its listing on Brown Harris Stevens’ website.
Located at 765 Park Avenue, Rhimes new humble abode sits in a 1927 building designed by architect Rosario Candela.
