(NEW YORK, NY) — Home renovations just got easier. A new startup, Block, is revolutionizing the way homeowners transform their humble abodes by creating a platform that provides all-inclusive renovation packages.
Block’s packages include design, materials and fixtures, permitting, and construction labor. As of right now, the startup offers bathroom renovations in New York and New Jersey, but co-founders Koda Wang and Luke Sherwin say other rooms and regions will be added in the future.
Koda Wang was formerly the chief customer officer at Rent the Runway and chief operating officer at HuffPost, and Luke Sherwin the co-founder of Casper.
Wang and Sherwin claim the packages are around 25 percent less than the average cost of traditional home renovations. The bathroom packages start at $15,000 and are expected to take three-six weeks to complete.
Homeowners are able to browse the company website for designs and receive free online cost estimates.
