(AROUND THE WEB) — Who doesn’t love a cute holiday card? For one Canadian realtor, critics are saying his Christmas card was far from cute.
Realtor Dwight Streu’s Christmas card features his wife and daughters with duct tape over their mouths while he held a sign “Peace on Earth.”
“When I first saw it I had to do a double take. I was shocked,” Paula Kirman, an organizer with March on Edmonton, a women’s rights advocacy group, told the HuffPost Canada. Kirman posted the card on Instagram.

A realtor in Edmonton sent his clients Christmas cards showing his wife and daughters with duct tape over their mouths, and him holding a sign saying “Peace on Earth.” I was asked to comment by CityNews. https://edmonton.citynews.ca/video/2018/12/18/peace-on-earth/ — #yeg #yegwomen #representationmatters #feminism
Kirman told reporters that society is currently fighting for #MeToo and gender based violence and gender equality. A card like this was sent during the wrong time. On top of that, it should have never been sent in a professional capacity.
So, did this realtor take a joke too far? We’ll let you be the judge of that.
