PropertyShark released its rankings of the 50 most expensive neighborhoods in New York City in 2018.
Here are the top 5:
- Tribeca

Tribeca takes the crown again with a median home sale price of $3.85 million. The neighborhood prices dropped 18% year-over-year. However, PropertyShark reported that the price difference was due to the 66 residential sales at 56 Leonard St. in 2017, which increased overall neighborhood prices.
- SoHo

SoHo claimed the number 2 spot with a median home sale price of $2.99 million. The neighborhood saw 117 residential sales in 2018.
- The Garment District

The Garment district secured spot number 3 with a median home sale price of $2.33 million. According to the report, the neighborhood saw a 41% increase year-over-year, jumping from 7th place last year.
- Hudson Square

At number 4, Hudson Square had a median home sale price of $2.152 million and saw 40 transactions.
- DUMBO, Brooklyn

DUMBO was the 5th most expensive neighborhood in NYC with a median home sale price of $1.88 million and 64 residential sales.
