Coney Island beachfront development offers 52 affordable units for $759/month

(NEW YORK, NY) — A housing lottery was launched for 52 affordable units in Coney Island’s new affordable housing development at 3003 West 21st street—also know as Surf Vets Place.

Of the 135 units, 82 studios will be set aside for homeless veterans and 52 for those earning at or below 50 or 60 percent of the area median income.

Those earning below 50 percent of the area median income can rent one-bedroom apartments for $795/month (12 available), two-bedrooms for $917/month (9 available), and three-bedrooms for $1,054/month (3 available).

For those earning an income below 60 percent of the area median income, there are 15 one-bedrooms that rent for $929/month, 10 two-bedrooms for $1,121/month, and 3 three-bedrooms for $1,289/month.

The building includes a 24-hour attended lobby, fitness center, sun terrace, on-site residents manager, computer lounge, and party rooms.
