(NEW YORK, NY) — Luxury living has been taken to a whole new level, literally. In three years, a new luxury hotel will open in outer space.
Orion Span, a California-based tech company, is in the process of developing Aurora Station, a private commercial space station that will soon be the first luxury hotel in outer space.
The hotel will fly 200 miles above Earth and will orbit the planet every 90 minutes. Passengers aboard Aurora Station will be able to see around 16 sunsets and sunrises every day.
Amenities on the ship will include high-speed wifi, five-star food, and zero-gravity ping pong.
The price for a 12-day vacation in this space hotel will cost passengers around $9.5 million. Passengers will also be required to undergo an extensive medical examination upon booking their reservation.
Aurora Station is set to launch in 2021. It will open its doors to guests as early as 2022.
