(NEW YORK, NY) — Although the popular rapper’s Instagram features him vacationing at the Bahamas and other tropical locations, Khaled has his eyes on a $6.9 million pad in the FiDi district.
DJ Khaled’s social media presence gave his music the recognition to be at the top of the charts, and with his new album, Father of Asahd, being released on May 17th, the rapper has moved up the ranks to becoming an A-list celebrity.

But with A-list celebrity comes A-list attention, and the rapper has his eyes on a 7th floor 5-bedroom pad at 114 Liberty St. Unfortunately, he is only looking at short-term rentals, and the property is currently not for rent (it is currently priced at $6.9 million). The building is adjacent to the World Trade Center, and American entrepreneur Russell Simmons is currently trying to sell his apartment at the building. The 5-bedroom has 12-foot ceilings, iron columns, a gym, and a corner library. The current brokers for the apartment are Nest Seeker’s Ryan Serhant and Jessica Campbell.
Khaled was looking for apartments during his week in New York where he performed at SNL and paid tribute to slain rapper Nipsey Hussle. He also performed at Pier 17.
Another apartment Khaled had his eyes on, according to The New York Post, was an off-market $12 million space at 30 Crosby St. The Soho Condo was once home to Lenny Kravitz, which was later rumored to be sold for nearly $13 million to Alicia Keys.
The hip-hop producer late last year bought a $25.9 million dollar water-front mansion in Miami Beach, which was previously owned by Michael Lerner, the entrepreneur behind the “Baby on Board” car signs, according to Forbes Magazine.
DJ Khaled is a father to his two-year-old son, Asahd, and his music success led him to designing his own shoes for Nike with a collaboration called DJ Khaled x Air Jordan 3. The shoes retail for at least 9,000 dollars.
Other celebrities who have recently bought real estate in are Bradley Cooper, who quietly purchased an off-market $13.5 million West Village townhouse late last year, and The Real Housewives of New York City television personality Sonja Morgan, who bought a Columbus Circle 2-bedroom high-rise apartment just this year.
