(NEW YORK, NY) — Barbara Corcoran, a well-known real-estate figure has recently partnered with retired baseball icon “A-Rod” in the buying of an NYC rental. A-Rod has bought a 21-unit rental building in one of NYC’s historic areas, the East Village. Barbara stated that the negotiation between her and Rodriguez took nearly six months to finalize, they propose to build a portfolio of multifamily buildings across NYC. The two already have a joint purchased location which holds a retail facility at its base, though not named the dynamic duo state that this location is already generating “immediate returns”.

The intentions of the pair could be quite beneficial to NYC residents. Rodriguez told The Post that he and Corcoran plan to invest in “undervalued neighborhoods, undermanaged buildings, and misused lands. Alex noted that his real-estate interest started because as a kid he was always moving from location to location. As a Washington Heights native, Alex could use his leverage to create housing at a more affordable rate in these undervalued neighborhoods. According to Corcoran, she has hired a team of football players to look for areas that fit their criteria such as Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Bronx neighborhoods including Inwood, Mott Haven, and Morningside Heights.
