(NEW YORK, NY) — Vornado Realty Trust’s 220 Central Park South has seen two anonymous buyers in the past few months, as the project nears completion.
The Real Deal reports that the residential condominium, named Villa 6 by the developer, was purchased for $39 million, per property records filed this month.
The buyer is anonymous, with an LLC that’s registered under New York law firm Federman Steifman LLP.
The limestone tower, designed by Robert A.M. Stern and developed by Steve Roth’s Vornado, will stand at 79 stories when completed, according to The Real Deal.
The tower’s Unit 35A, which spans 4,200-square-feet, sold in February for $33.5 million to another anonymous buyer, after a small price increase from $30 million.
And hedge fund billionaire Ken Griffin earlier this year paid $238 million for a 23,000-square-foot quadplex spanning the 50th through 53rd floors, according to The Real Deal.
Griffin’s acquisition price was the highest amount ever paid for a home in the U.S.
Other known to-be-tenants in the building include Daniel Ochs, a hedge fund manager, and debt-collection executive Andrew Zaro, according to The Real Deal.
