(SAG HARBOR, NY) — Christie Brinkley’s historic, waterfront Sag Harbor home has finally found a buyer. After a few years on the market, the former supermodel’s home has sold for “very close” to its listing price of $17.99 million, said Enzo Morabito, the listing agent with Douglas Elliman.
Brinkley purchased the home in 2004 for $7.15 million under a trust, according to PropertyShark records.
In October of 2010, Brinkley first listed the home for $15.75 but after a year on the market, she removed it, according to public listing records. In January of 2017, Brinkley put the home back on the market for $25 million but lowering the price to $17.99 million to close the deal.
The home features grand columns and elegant facades, which sits on over four acres of land and 18 feet above sea level, along with a beach stretching about 100 yards leads to the bay.
The iconic home was built for a sea captain in 1843. The home has three-stories with high ceilings and wide-plank flooring. Morabito said this style was unusual for the time since houses were built in a way to help retain heat.
