(NEW YORK, NY) — The Yankee legend, who is now retired but is the holder of the world’s sixth-largest sports contract, is branching out from working with Barbara Corcoran and is teaming up with Ofer Yardeni from Stonehenge NYC and Adam Modlin of the Modlin Group.
Earlier this month, Rodriguez teamed up with Corcoran to buy a 21-unit rental building in the East Village. But now Rodriguez’s A-Rod Corp wants to buy apartments of all types and sizes across the Big Apple.
Rodriguez’s Monument Capital Management already owns about 15,000 apartments in 13 states.
They will be focusing on particular neighborhoods in New York City, like Chelsea, and will later branch out to luxury apartments. A-Rod chose Stonehenge NYC because he wanted to branch out to much larger properties.
A. Rod is not the only celebrity with a big knack for real estate, but he may be one of the few interested in New York. Ellen DeGeneres, his soon-to-be bride Jennifer Lopez, and Jennifer Aniston all dabble quite a lot in real estate, but mostly in California.
Celebrities, models, and actors realize that long-term wealth can come from real estate investing, and many take advantage of their millions lying in the bank.
