(NEW YORK, NY)— The chief operating officer Maëlle Gavet of Compass will be leaving the firm next month. In the past few weeks, the acclaimed brokerage has seen a flee of employees including vice president of communications Jason Post. Gavet’s departure is the most significant in the recent flee.
“ Growing Compass alongside Robert and our amazing employees and agents has been one of the most rewarding and energizing experiences of my life,” stated Gavet. “I am incredibly proud of all that we accomplished.”
According to The Real Deal, an email to Compass agents was sent out on Tuesday by CEO Robert Reffkin stated her departure “a mutual decision.” He says “Maëlle will be moving on to focus her attention on a new opportunity outside of Compass. The company will not be hiring a replacement for her role.”
Just a week ago VP of communications Jason Post announced his decision to leave the brokerage for a job at Google, after 9 months with Compass. The executive stated, “ I’m proud of what I accomplished at Compass, but I’m excited to move on to a new opportunity and I wish everyone at Compass well.”
It has not yet been announced where former COO Gavet will be heading next.
